The 10-minute survey asks about your experiences with the fiberarts you enjoy: weaving, spinning, crocheting, cross-stitch, embroidery, and knitting. Let us know which types of projects you prefer, how you like to learn, and what you’d like to see yarn shops do better. The fiberarts community needs your advice and opinions, whether you are a beginner or an expert! This survey is conducted every few years by The National NeedleArts Association (TNNA). Your input is very important and will be included in a published national report.

Your answers are anonymous. No one will use your survey responses to market to you.

Collaborative art at Purlescence Yarns!

This month we launched an interactive project to create art for the wall in our living room. And we want you to take part.

Here are the guidelines:

Make it purple – your kind of purple

Make it a textile – knit, crochet, tat, weave, felt, quilt

Make it a size and shape you like – You can’t take up the whole wall, other than that, go for it!

Don’t make it angora. Pretty much any other yarn is fine.

Take a picture of yourself with your creation (yes, this is a requirement)

Get both the purple and the picture to us by the end of Stitches West (we’ll have a collection point and camera in our booth)

We’ll set a date to clear away the furniture, lay all the pieces out and combine them into a wallhanging.
